The next testing will take place on Sunday 25th September 2022.

Remember the classes will still be running so please use any of the classes in the week to make up those that you have missed and always bring your top even if we’re allowing T-shirts for that class.😎

Finally be mindful of others and ensure that we keep each other safe by not attending class if you are at all unwell. πŸ™πŸ½

3 Peaks Challenge

The Three Peaks Challenge!

Something not to be taken lightly even if you are an experienced climber!

So, if you haven’t seen my Facebook post here it is!

I managed one third of Ben Nevis, came back down while I was still ok, but I overheated really quickly, over dressed in the beginning. The Team did it in 6 hrs. We arrived at Scafell Pike at night, and in heavy rain so the waterfall and river were flowing. When we got to the top I pulled a muscle in my outer knee, and then we had the added hindrance of 50mph winds at the top which blew us around, coming down was a killer with the knee, the Team did it in 4hrs 15mins, I did it in 4hrs 30mins, decided best to not do Snowdon, but 4 of the less injured did it in 6hrs, there was no chance of doing it in 24hrs with all the travelling, especially in a mini bus, and you’d have to run up and run down, you need to put in significant practice beforehand to be able to do it in 24hrs and have a few quick cars. The total time was 30 hours. With my knee I didn’t even attempt Snowdon. Would I do it again, never as a 24hr challenge!

But I would do it again, maybe next year!
You never fail, you always learn and develop!

A big thank you to everyone who has donated, it’s genuinely appreciated.

Pil Seung!

Mr. Tailor

Wishing a good summer ahead to our students especially those taking National Exams. 😊

The May testing went well and most students should have now reviewed their comments from the testing and been shown any changes that they need to make.

On Sunday 12th June we have a joint Dan testing with Harrow school where Tia will be going for her 1st Dan. We wish her all the best on the day. If you wish to watch then please contact Mr Tailor for the details.

We will continue working with you all to incorporate the Colour Belt syllabus updates during the month. Please let the instructors know if you’ve had to miss classes and so not been shown the changes.

Welcome to the Enfield CKD April Newsletter:

I hope you all got a chance to enjoy the warm weather at the end of March. 🌞 😎😊

Please note that we will not be running any classes on 17th April which is Easter Sunday.

The International seminar in March was a good opportunity for students to see the Grand Master Kwang Jo Choi and understand his vision for all the schools and the research behind the techniques that we use.
The Grand Master also demonstrated the changes that he wants students to make which we as a school will introduce over the coming weeks so please make sure that you make every effort to attend the classes.

Please be mindful of others and ensure that we keep each other safe by not attending class if you are at all unwell. πŸ™πŸ½

Welcome to the Enfield CKD March Newsletter:

I hope some of you managed to get a break at half term. 😎😊

Congratulations to Eduardo for working hard to earn his promotion to Black Belt club. πŸ€—πŸ˜

The Covid rules for England have changed in February to not being legally required to self-isolate if you test positive for COVID-19. We ask that if you do test positive then please stay at home until you’re clear before attending class.

Just a reminder that at our Turkey Street venue we have to temporarily close the viewing room as there is a severe lack of airflow in what is a very small space.
However, for exceptional circumstances we can allow use of the room and you will be required to wear a face covering whilst in the room.
We apologise for the inconvenience, we hope you all understand and continue to support us during this unusual time.

Please be mindful of others and ensure that we keep each other safe by not attending class if you are at all unwell. πŸ™πŸ½
